Boards & Commissions
The City of West Richland encourages citizen participation in municipal government and welcomes your interest in serving on a City board or commission. Citizens who serve on boards and commissions help to enhance diversity and ensure quality services to meet the needs of our growing City. Appointments to boards and commissions are made by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
Descriptions of board members' responsibilities, objectives, and other information are found online in West Richland Municipal Code Title 2.

Board of Adjustment
The Board of Adjustment is the entity that holds public hearings to consider variance applications.

Civil Service Commission
The Civil Service Commission is a citizen board mandated by state statute to oversee personnel procedures of civil service classified employees in the police department.

Parks & Recreation Board
The purpose and intent of the Parks and Recreation Board is to serve in an advisory capacity to the mayor and city council relative to the beautification, improvement, development, management, and planning of all West Richland city parks and associated facilities.

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission is responsible for reviewing and proposing amendments to the Comprehensive Plan.

Salary Commission
The purpose of the salary commission is to set the salaries of the Mayor and City Council Members of the City of West Richland.
