The Public Works Department is committed to providing services and infrastructure in a quality manner through the use of professional engineering and management practices with a team of employees dedicated to excellence and customer satisfaction. We strive to accomplish these tasks efficiently, effectively, and with accountability to the community we serve.
Department
The City of West Richland Public Works Department consists of two divisions: Engineering and Operations and Maintenance (O&M)
The Engineering Division provides public service, project review, traffic analysis, administration of all utility fees and contracts, capital planning, project development, construction management, and all inspections affecting Public Works improvements. Engineering assistance is provided to the Public Works Operation and Maintenance Division, specifically in the areas of water distribution, streets, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and irrigation distribution.
The Operations and Maintenance Division oversees the daily operations and maintenance activities of West Richland's streets, water system, sanitary sewer system, storm drainage facilities, parks, City-owned irrigation systems, and City-owned buildings and facilities.
